At 10pm on June 25, 2016 (Turkish local time), Unit 4 of HEI-contracted Zetas Phase III 2 X 660MW Coal-fired Power Station EPC Project successfully connected to the power grid right first time.

Turkey Zetas Phase III Project is HEI’s 2 X 660MW Supercritical Thermal Power Project of which the contract was signed on January 23, 2013 and is also a landmark project showing HEI’s entrance into the Turkish thermal power market. Work for this project commenced in October 2014. During the construction phase, HEI overcame difficulties including high standards and tight work deadlines, seriously enacted the project plan, and strictly controlled the critical points. More than 2000 Chinese workers and close to 500 people from local Turkish teams were invested into the project. In just 21 months, it was smoothly connected to the grid and began to generate electricity.

The highly efficient and smooth enactment of the Zetas project has created an excellent power station for Turkey and has once again proved the engineering management ability of HEI. It has once again established a monumental work for the HEI brand on the "On Belt, One Road" strategy.
