Thermal products are one of HE’s leading products. Not only does the company lead the way in China, in terms of design and manufacturing processing, but its overall technical strength has also reached a first-class level internationally, as has its volume production capacity. Furthermore, in order to meet the demand of customers at home and abroad, we have developed our own 135-210MW series of thermal units, a 100-350MW series of CFBs, a supercritical 350MW thermal unit, 600MW and 660MW subcritical thermal units, a large capacity air cooling turbine generator and other state-of-the-art power generation equipment with proprietary intellectual property rights.
In 1983, HEI was contracted to build Pakistan’s Guddu Power Plant 210 MW thermal power unit, realizing our goal to push large-scale domestic power equipment into the international market. During the completion of this project, we were able to cultivate a team with valuable working experience on power plant EPC projects overseas, accumulating crucial practice in relevant areas from the preliminary contract negotiations to construction organization and management. We earned a positive reputation in the power plant construction field internationally, especially in South and Southeast Asia, laying a solid foundation for the export of Chinese power generation equipment and overseas project contracting.
In 2006, the company was contracted to build the Vietnam Campha two Phase I and II 300MW coal-fired power plants, and we were awarded the Vietnam Electricity Development Outstanding Contribution Prize by the Vietnam Energy Association, the first time any Chinese power plant engineering enterprise had obtained such a title.
In 2007, we were awarded the contract for the Indonesia Paiton 660MW subcritical coal-fired unit, and exported single unit with the highest capacity ever for a Chinese company.
