HEI Successfully Completes Overall Construction of Turkey ZETAS III 2×660MW Coal-fired Power Station EPC Project

Time:2016-9-26

After

Unit 4 of the Turkey ZETAS III 2×660MW Coal-fired Power Station EPC Project passed

the appraisal of its 168-hour full-load commissioning at 17:28 Istanbul time on

July 20th, 2016, Unit 5 passed the same appraisal on August 27th,

2016, marking the successful completion of HEI’s Turkey ZETAS III Project.

Turkey

ZETAS III Project relates to a EPC project agreement on two 660 MW supercritical

thermal power units signed by HEI and EREN on January 23rd, 2013. Adopting

660 MW supercritical thermal power units manufactured by HE Corporation, the

project manufactures wet FGD devices and SCR denitration devices at the same

time, and uses electric bag filters for dust removal and condensers with a direct

seawater cooling system in open cycle cooling. It is positioned as a landmark

project for HEI to tap into the thermal power market of Turkey, and also the

first major project of a Chinese EPC enterprise in the European market in the

implementation process of the ‘One Belt and One Road’

strategy.

Since

the official commencement of the Turkey ZETAS III Project on January 7th,

2014, following the tenet of ‘providing users with sincere services’,

HEI has been striving to overcome such adverse factors as a heavy workload of

design coordination, strict equipment acceptance standards, long maritime

transport cycle, narrow and scattered on-site warehouses and work yards, heavy

workload of construction coordination and construction difficulties, ensuring

that all milestones would be finished on schedule. It took less than 23 months

from the installation in October 2014 to the successfully completion of the 168-hour

commissioning of the two units. This project sets a new Turkey record for the

shortest construction period of 600 MW class units, and has been highly praised

by the owner.

The successful completion

of the two units in the Turkey ZETAS III Project not only enables HEI to win a

good reputation, but also lays a solid foundation for HEI to occupy a greater share

in the power market of Turkey, as well as making great contributions to the

implementation of the national ‘One Belt and One Road’ initiative.
