#1 gas turbine of Bhikki 1180MW Combined Cycle Power Station Project, Pakistan undertaken by Harbin Electric International Company Limited (HEI) passed the 168h reliability test run (RTR) at 22:00 on April 24, 2017 following the success of #2 gas turbine on April 15.
Bhikki Project started on September 22, 2015 and 17 and a half months later, # 1gas turbine was synchronized, which created a new world record in the field of heavy-duty gas turbine power station construction and had epoch-making effects on the construction and operation of future high-efficient heavy-duty gas turbine power stations. Bhikki Combine Cycle Power Station Project will greatly relieve the power shortage problem in Pakistan and reduce power consumption cost after it is completed. The two gas turbines of Bhikki Project can output 717MW electric energy for NTDC under normal working conditions, accounting for about 10% of the current power gap in Pakistan. At present, HEI is sparing no efforts to carry out the combined cycle system construction as planned under the precondition of guaranteeing normal and stable unit operations, and striving to attain the goal of combined cycle power generation as early as possible.
Additionally, Balloki 1223MW Combined Cycle Power Station Project, another combined cycle power station equipped with two 9HA gas turbines undertaken by HEI, has made sufficient preparations before the gas turbines arrive. At present, #1 gas turbine of Balloki Project has arrived at Port of Karachi, which arrived on April 22, 2017, and will arrive at the site in early May; #2# gas turbine was shipped from the French factory on April 19.
