On Feb. 22, 2017, local time 22:04, the Indonesia Banten 1×670MW Supercritical Thermal Power Plant constructed by Harbin Electric International Co., Ltd. (HEI) achieved full load generation. The boiler, turbine and generator used in this project were manufactured by HE Group’s own manufacturers. The power unit is running steadily with all major parameters meeting the contract’s requirement, which once again highlights the HEI brand in Indonesia after previous Paiton project.

The Banten Project is an IPP project approved by the Indonesian Government and invested by Malaysia Genting Energy and the China State Development & Investment Corp.. HEI is the EPC contactor. The Project is located in Banten Province, the northwest of Java Island, Indonesia and was officially commenced on Dec. 10, 2013. During the construction, HEI carefully and scientifically made the overall organization, actively cooperated with the project owner, overcame various difficulties., and finally accomplished the power generation goal, establishing a good brand image of Chinese enterprises in Indonesia.
