At 7:38, Feb. 13, 2017, Indonesia local time, the Indonesia Banten 1x670MW Supercritical Thermal Power Project constructed by HEI was successfully synchronized to the Grid, laying a solid foundation for the unit to be put into commercial operation. HEI Vice President, Dong Yinzhu accompanied Genting Energy CEO, TS Ong to inspect the project site. TS Ong expressed his congratulations on the successful synchronization and affirmation toward the construction progress.

The EPC contract for Indonesia Banten Supercritical TPP was signed between HEI and PT. Lestari Banten Energi, the Indonesian subsidiary of Malaysia Genting Energy. The project site locates in Banten Province, the Northwestern Java Island, Indonesia. It is an IPP project approved by the Indonesian Government. During the project construction, HEI overcame various difficulties and strove to build said plant into a benchmark project of Chinese enterprises in Indonesia.
