Jan. 20, 2017, the Turkey Zetas Phase III 2×660MW Thermal Power Project constructed by HEI on EPC basis was officially granted the provisional acceptance certificate by the owner, laying the foundation for issuance of final acceptance certification.
The Zetas Phase III Project is a landmark project in Turkey. The thermal power plant was contracted by HEI on Jan. 23, 2013 and it is the first major project in the European market contracted by Chinese EPC contractors since China's "One Belt and One Road” Initiative. The Project was officially commenced in October, 2014. Over the period of more than two years, the construction team overcame many difficulties such as delays in equipment delivery and slow civil work, until finally synchronizing the first unit to the grid in June 2016 and receiving TOC certificates for the two units in September. Now the PAC is issued two and a half months ahead of schedule, setting a record for the shortest construction period of a 2×600MW units in Turkey. After the units were synchronized, HEI’s project team continued working hard to guarantee normal operation, which wins the trust of the project owner. At present, the two units of the project are generating at full capacity according to the grid requirements.
Successful completion of the Zetas III Project has won a good reputation for HEI in Turkey's electric power market and laid a solid foundation for HEI to continuously develop the local market in the field. |
