At 16:38 on July 15, Pakistan local time, the foundation pile cap of HRSG #1 of the 900MW Bin Qasim Combined-cycle Power Station III (BQPS-III) contracted by HEI started its first cubic meter of concrete pouring. The whole pouring work was successfully completed at 9:58 in the morning on July 16, taking 17 hours and 20 minutes in total with 530 cubic meters of concrete poured.

The Project, with two sets of 4000F single-shaft gas-steam combined-cycle generator units installed, is located in the plant area of BQPS-I with complicated interfaces. It is a typical brownfield project as the construction site is small with many underground cables, pipelines and other facilities. It is the second project that sees cooperation between HEI and KE after the BQPS-II, which not only reflects the good cooperation relationship between both the two parties, but also embodies KE’ full confidence in HEI, representing the friendship between China and Pakistan.
