On May 12, Li Chao, Chairman of the Board of Harbin Electric International (HEI), led a delegation to conduct an on-site inspection at the Saudi Rumah 2 project, evaluating the engineering construction progress, safety protocols, and quality control on the ground. He also held a symposium with the project management team, during which they exchanged ideas and he outlined clear requirements for the project's key objectives.

During the inspection, Li Chao fully recognized the project management team’s strong ability to learn from previous experiences and praised the distinct vitality of their youthful workforce. He pointed out that despite the complex regional security situation, demanding external environment, and various project challenges, all staff members of the project department have stepped up to the plate, overcome difficulties, and solidly performed their duties, fully demonstrating the excellent work style and commitment of HEI employees. Li Chao emphasized that the company always prioritizes the safety and physical and mental health of its employees; therefore, every effort must be made to ensure on-site support, providing solid backing and creating favorable conditions for frontline overseas staff.

At the symposium, Li Chao emphasized that first, the project management team must strengthen their coordination capabilities, effectively integrate resources from all parties, and build synergy to continuously improve overall project execution efficiency. Second, all staff members should further cultivate a strong sense of ownership and fully leverage the role of the general contractor by proactively aligning with subcontractors across all stages to ensure on-site issues are identified immediately, reported accurately, and resolved efficiently. Third, the team must stay results-oriented, enforce management responsibilities, enhance compliance awareness, and strictly adhere to work discipline to jointly advance high-quality project construction. Fourth, great importance must be placed on training young talents; young employees should focus on sharpening their communication skills and logical thinking, toughen their resolve, and build expertise on the front lines to quickly grow into key pillars, injecting new vitality and momentum into the project.

During the visit, Li Chao and his delegation also met with Ayed Almashi, CEO of the project owner's company, engaging in an in-depth exchange of views on project construction progress, the achievement of key milestones, and the guarantee of equipment supply.
