On Nov.29th, 2010, Harbin Power Engineering Company (HPE) received a letter of thanks sent by Embassy of Pakistan, to express their heartfelt gratitude and sublime respect for Harbin Power Engineering Corporation who donated RMB 200,000 for the flood affected victims of Pakistan.

Pakistan has been suffering the attack of rainstorms since the end of July, 2010 and many regions in Pakistan have been flooded. Up to now, the flood has resulted in more than one thousand of people died, millions of people homeless, which brought tremendous impact on the development of economy and society, as well as the living of people in Pakistan.

HPE and Pakistan hold deep friendship with each other all the while, and maintain closely cooperative relationship in the meantime. The rarely occurred massive flood in Pakistan caught the concern of every staff in HPE; we care about the flood at every moment and would like to get through the difficulties with Pakistan hand in hand.

Distance cannot separate true friends, and adversity makes friendship even vivid. As the key enterprise in exporting complete set of large-scale power equipment and power project EPC contracting, HPE took upon itself the social responsibility of helping the flood affected victims of Pakistan to overcome the disaster and rebuilt their homeland. In responding the vocation of Chinese embassy in Pakistan issued to the Chinese-funded enterprises to donate for disaster areas, we contributed RMB 200,000 as the emergency assistance for the victims in Pakistan who lost their homes.
