November 23rd, 2010, at 17:28 PM, HPE and Nagarjuna Construction Company Limited India (abbr. NCC) officially signed the BTG Package Supply and Service Contracts for NCC 2×660MW Super Critical Thermal Power Project. President and CPC Committee Secretary of the company, Mr. Guo Yu attended the signing ceremony on behalf of HPE.
NCC Project is located at Krishna Patnam, Nellore Dist, Andhra Pradesh, India. The contract scope covers BTG package supply, erection and commissioning instruction, and performance testing for 2×660MW super critical thermal power units with a total contract value around 450,000,000 US dollars. Owner of the project, NCC is a reputable Indian company mainly engaged in infrastructure construction.
HPE first started the negotiation with NCC in 2007, and both sides signed an exclusive cooperation agreement in October 2008 to establish the cooperative relations. During the two years thereafter, NCC gradually accomplished land acquisition, fuel purchase agreement, and environment protection approval with the assistance of HPE. After several rounds of technical and commercial negotiations between both sides, President of NCC and his associates came to Harbin and finally signed the contract with HPE on November 23rd.
NCC Project signifies the first time of HPE to export super critical BTG package, and it is also the first international package supply contract of HE Group for super critical equipment. NCC project has adopted the latest technical solution with the turbine reheating temperature being 600℃, which is going to be a technical renovation of HE Group for 600 MW super critical equipment. The successful contract signing of NCC project has further enhanced the position HPE enjoys in Indian power market, greatly enlarged its market share in India, and meanwhile has laid a solid foundation for HE Group to develop the power market of other countries and regions.
