On Dec.30th.2011, Harbin Electric International Company Limited (HEI) and Ecuadorian National Electricity Company signed the Minas 3 × 90MW Hydropower Project, which is another project developed successfully after the Termoesmeraldas II Thermal Power Project also in Ecuador signed by HEI on Nov.29th.2011.

This project is not only the first Hydropower EPC project of HEI in oversea market, including dam construction, equipment supply and installation, but also the first Hydropower project in South America. The project adds the company‘s performance experience of hydropower project, and the more important thing is further expending the South America electricity power market.

Our company has insisted on developing the strategy of both thermal power and hydropower market. Especially in the recent years, the hydropower business in our company has grown faster than before. So far, HEI has signed several hydropower project contracts in Sudan, Turkey, Vietnam, Philippines, Pakistan and Ecuador, which covered Africa, Asia and South America.

HEI will keep on taking the advantage to expand the market share of the hydropower business, depending on the HE’s leading products and making the whole development of hydropower, thermal power, combined cycle power, transmission line and infrastructure construction.
