The Owner of Indonesian ASAHAN Hydro Power Project Paid a Visit to HEI

On December 15-18, 2014, Mr. Kamal, Vice President of Operation and Maintenance Department and Mr. Asmin, Operation Manager along with their six-person delegation of Indonesian ASAHAN hydro power project paid a friendly visit to HEI. Both sides exchanged their views on the maintenance of the units for ASAHAN Hydro power plant in 2015.

Situated in North Sumatra Province, Indonesia, ASAHAN No.1 hydropower plant is the first cascade power plant in the Asahan Basin. Its planning capacity is 2X90MW, designed annual operating hour is 6600 hours and annual generating capacity is 11.79 billion kWh. Besides, it is also the first hydro power project invested by China in Indonesia. Its gross installed capacity accounts for 10% of the gross installed capacity of Sumatra Island and its quality and schedule control has profound influence on Indonesian local society.

The Owner‘s visit in 2015 is aimed at interviewing the maintenance of units after the first batch of spare parts arrived at the project site since the signing of the three-year LTSA between HEI and PJB Company, the owner of ASAHAN hydropower project. The Owner of the Indonesian ASAHAN hydropower project expressed their satisfaction to the high-efficiency and high-quality after-sale services provided by HEI, and hoped that HEI could intensify its supervision on technologies and its guidance to the Owner for project maintenance so as to ensure the stable and reliable operation of ASAHAN hydropower units. During the visit, the Owner of the Indonesian ASAHAN hydropower project also visited the hydropower sub-plant of Harbin Electrical Machinery Company Ltd.
