Mr. Qu Aimin, Secretary of the Party and Vice President of HEI， along with his delegation， paid official visits to Chinese Ambassador to Ecuador, Mr. Wang Shixiong and Commercial Counselor, Mr. Peng Tao， and Chinese Ambassador to Uzbekistan Mr. Sun Lijie and Commercial Counselor, Mr. Wang Kaixuan during his trips to Ecuador and Uzbekistan from January 24th to February 5th 2015.

In talks with Mr. Wang Shixiong and Mr. Peng Tao, Mr. Qu Aimin extended his appreciation to the Chinese Embassy on behalf of HEI for their energetic support over the years and gave them his blessings for the upcoming Chinese New Year. He also took the opportunity to report the progress of project implementation as well as the difficulties encountered in Ecuador, in which he emphasized the problems that arose during the transition phase after ESMERALDAS II Thermoelectric Project fully entered into commercial operation. He further expressed his hope that the Chinese Embassy would provide diplomatic support and assistance. Ambassador Wang Shixiong demonstrated his attention on the three HEI projects currently underway in Ecuador and considered them to be of great significance. He hoped that HEI could overcome those difficulties and execute the projects efficiently so as to establish a Chinese brand in Ecuador and contribute to the development of Ecuador’s economy.

In the February 5th talks with Mr. Sun Lijie and Mr. Wang Kaixuan, Mr. Qu Aimin extended New Year’s greetings to the Embassy staff on behalf of HEI and stated that the focused attention and support of the Chinese Embassy in Uzbekistan had ensured the steady construction of HEI’s Angren Coal Fired Thermal Power Project. With this project, HEI will establish a good reputation for Chinese businesses with its internationally first-class engineering and contribute to the electrical development of Uzbekistan. Furthermore, Mr. Qu Aimin expressed the hope of HEI that the Chinese Embassy would continue to provide strong support in the development of follow-up projects. Ambassador Mr. Sun Lijie evaluated the importance of the Angren Thermal Power Project highly.
