On January 27th 2015, HEI and MAK Mongolia officially signed the EPC contract of the NariinSukhait 2x135MW Coal Fired Thermal Power Plant Project at the Mongolian Embassy in China (Beijing). This means that HEI has successfully landed in the Mongolian Electric Power Market. The contract was signed by President and General Manager of HEI Mr. Guo Yu and President of MAK Mr. Nymtaishir, representing HEI and MAK respectively. Mongolian Ambassador to China Mr. Sukhbaatar and Commercial Counselor Mr. Baavgai Khurenbaatar witnessed the signing ceremony.
HEI signed a cooperation agreement concerning the NariinSukhait 2x135MW Coal Fired Thermal Power Plant Project in August 2014 during President Xi Jinping’s visit to Mongolia. In order to accelerate the implementation of the project, HEI further increased the intensity of development and actively promoted its development process, leading to the successful signing of the EPC contract.
The Mongolian MAK Group is a large-scale company involved in mining, energy, power, civil aviation and more. HEI leads the world in the field of EPC contracting with its comprehensive strength. The combination of these two parties will certainly make this project a benchmark of electric power cooperation between Mongolia and China, thereby establishing a model for China’s electric power EPC projects.
