From July 12 to July 17, 2017, HEI President Qu Aimin went to Turkey and participated in the Soma Project Summit at the invitation of the Soma Project owner.

Before he participated in the summit, Mr. Qu Aimin heard a special report of the project team and reports of Mr. Kaan Sumer, Agent of HEI in Turkey, and some other people on the feedbacks from the senior executives of the owner, the feedbacks from the management team of the project owner, and the main status of five key projects under development in the thermal, gas and nuclear power market.

During the summit, Mr. Qu Aimin gave his opinions on the problems of the Soma Project to be solved, proposed the promotion measures and successfully completed all the agenda items. In addition, Mr. Qu heard the description of Mr. Mete, the owner’s project director, on the new project to be carried out soon. Mr. Qu also thanked the owner for inviting HEI to bid on the new project and expressed that HEI would do its best to promote the electric power construction in Turkey.

Mr. Qu held a project symposium at the site with all the Chinese executives. He and Mr. Xu Hongfu, the Chief Project Officer of HEI, carefully heard the reports from all the relevant parties on the problems in the project implementation and the project progress and they proposed specific requirements for the Soma Project according to the characteristics of the Soma Project. Firstly, we shall strengthen the team cooperation, concentrate our strength on the construction of the Soma Project and stabilize the coal-fired power market in Turkey. Secondly, we shall pay high attention to and supervise all the equipment installation quality, lay a solid foundation for the plant commissioning and brand construction. Thirdly, we shall well coordinate and cooperate with the erection company of the owner, record the relevant equipment quality, installation processes, etc. and be prepared for the project handing over. Fourthly, we shall do the supporting work well according to the owner’s requirements and the actual situation, to improve the creditworthiness of HEI.

Mr. Qu delivered a speech on the current situation and tasks, which helped the project team to clearly understand the situation, know their responsibilities, do their project work well, establish the brands and make contributions to the development of HEI.

Mr. Qu also inspected the turbine and its auxiliaries installation progress.
