Recently, Engineering News-Record (ENR) has published the list of ENR's 2017 Top 250 International Contractors, in which HEI is included and ranks 67th, rising by 21 places, compared with its place in 2016. Among the Chinese enterprises listed, HEI ranks 13th.

A total of 65 mainland Sino-enterprises are listed in ENR’s 2017 Top 250 International Contractors, the number of which remains the same as that in last year and is more than that of any other country. The total international business turnover of these 65 enterprises has reached 98.93 billion US dollars, an increase of 4.6% compared with that in last year, accounting for 21.1% of the total international business turnover of the 250 listed enterprises. The total 2016 annual international business turnover of the 250 listed enterprises was 468.12 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decline of 6.4% compared with that in last year, and it has decreased for three consecutive years.

In 2016, HEI’s international business revenue was RMB 10.029 billion, a year-on-year increase of 50.99%, and the completed formal contract amount was RMB 15.8 billion, a year-on-year increase of 96.52%. HEI has fulfilled incremental development for six consecutive years since 2011, despite fluctuations in the global economy.
