Time:2017-01-04 |
On December 14th, 2016, with respect to the Dubai Hassyan 2,400MW Clean Coal-Fired Power Plant Project, featuring as the first coal-fired power plant project in the Middle East, HEI received the advance payment from the owner, marking that the project’s financial closure has been achieved and withdrawal was allowed. On December 22nd, the project was awarded a ‘no objection certificate’ (NOC) for excavation by the Dubai Government, and its design drawings for boiler foundation excavation were officially approved, indicating that the project has entered the formal construction phase from the temporary work construction phase. It is estimated that first unit boiler foundation excavation will begin on January 15th, 2017.
Adopting international quality and environmental standards, this project is characterized by high standards, a stringent schedule and considerable difficulties. The first unit of the project is scheduled to be put into commercial operation in March 2020. At present, the Temporary Work Office has been set up, the internal fitting and wiring works are being carried out in an intense but orderly manner, 4.8km of fencing enclosures have been built, machines, equipment and materials for site excavation are being transported to the site, and the HSE team has conducted training for all personnel engaging on site, constituting full preparations for the upcoming civil construction.
The smooth implementation of this project will not only lay a solid foundation for HEI‘s strategic development in the field of international investment, but will also have far-reaching significance for HEI to dedicate itself to such high-end power markets as Middle East and further improve its international brand presence. |
