On November 22nd, 2016, System B of EXTRA HIGH VOLTAGE TRANSMISSION SYSTEMS AT 500 KV AND ASSOCIATED WORKS AT 230 KV Project contracted by HEI in Ecuador was awarded the Provisional Acceptance Certificate by the owner The System B is formally entered into the the warranty period,and the 500 kV operation and maintenance Contract which is signed by HEI and the owner is formally went into effective. This is HEI’s first major project milestone transfer.
The Ecuador 5 EXTRA HIGH VOLTAGE TRANSMISSION SYSTEMS AT 500 KV AND ASSOCIATED WORKS AT 230 KV Project is signed by HEI and CELEC EP which including a EPC contract and a 500 kV power transmission line system operation and maintenance Contract . The Circuit blocks A in Section A7 of System B is 132 km-long f which is started from the CCS Hydropower Station, the biggest hydropower station in Ecuador, and crosses the no man’s land zone in a mountainous area of the Andes located 4,200 meters above sea level, passes through the SanRafael 500 kV Transformer Station, and finally reaches the EL INGA 500 kV Substation for power transmission to Quito, the capital of Ecuador. HEI’s project team was highly appraised by CELEC EP and the Ministry of Electricity of Ecuador for its successful completion of all tasks after overcoming numerous difficulties caused by tough natural conditions during construction.
