On October 18, 2017, at local time 20:55 in Bangladesh, the boiler ignition and pipe blowing of the Bangladesh Barapukuria 275MW Coal-fired Thermal Power Project contracted by HEI were successfully completed.. it marks the start of the overall unit start-up stage ahead of schedule.
In order to successfully complete the boiler ignition and pipe blowing of the Bangladesh Barapukuria 275MW Coal-fired Thermal Power Project, considering the actual situation at the site, HEI organized the Commissioning Party Liaoning Dongke Electric Power Company Limited, the operation Party Harbin Huitong Electric Power Equipment Co., Ltd., the 3rd Northeast Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd. and the project supervision organization to jointly research and formulate the ignition and pipe blowing plan. They carefully verified the technically difficult aspects such as the combustion system adjustment and the expansion monitoring, took effective safety measures against the problems that would possibly occur in the boiler pipe blowing process, extremely carefully checked the safety and integrity of the equipments which are related to the ignition system and got well prepared for the work. The boiler ignition of the Bangladesh Barapukuria Project formally started at 18:35 on October 16, 2017. The whole process lasted for 50 hours and 20 minutes (including the 15 hours furnace shut down). The pipe blowing was carried out effectively up to 88 times. The target hitting test was carried out for five times and two panels consecutively passed the examination. The times for which the steam had been blown and the consumed time both reached a fine level, which eared valuable time for the follow-up startup of the whole unit.
