On August 8, 2017, the cofferdam closure works for Dubai Hassyan Project contracted by HEI was completed seven days ahead of schedule, marking the first milestone for jetty construction have been achieved. The owner’s senior management who attended the 16th EPC coordinating conference at the project site witnessed and gave high praise for the closure of cofferdam.

Cofferdam closure is a preceding condition for carrying out marine dredging and also a foundation for follow-up dredging, jetty construction and other large-scale operations, having great significance in the overall construction of of Hassyan Project. Hassyan Project is undertaken by HEI with high standards, strict requirements and broader responsibility of environmental protection. In the process of cofferdam construction, the project department of HEI actively organized the jetty subcontractor—China Harbor Engineering Company Ltd. to make scientific construction plan, enforce safe construction, and seriously take environmental protection measures. Taking “borderless cooperation” as the aim and with strong support of the owner and the subcontractor, HEI strives to maintain steady progress of cofferdam construction and its smooth closure.

At present, the project department of HEI is working with the China Harbor Engineering Company Ltd. to move on to the next stage of dredging and jetty construction in strict accordance with related requirements from Dubai municipal government, making great efforts to ensure the completion of Hassyan Project on schedule.
