At 14:10 on June 23, 2017 (local time), Unit 3 (the second generator set) in Sudan Upper Atbara Hydropower Project contracted by HEI was successfully synchronized for power generation, which was jointly witnessed by the Owner and the supervisors.

Unit 3 smoothly reached the rated load (80MW for a single unit) and successfully completed the load rejection test, with all the indicators meeting the design requirements, marking another key milestone realized by HEI’s project team through unremitting efforts after the first unit was successfully synchronized for power generation as contracted.

The Owner highly evaluated HEI’s high-efficient services and quality products. Subsequently, Unit 3 in Sudan Upper Atbara Hydropower Project will carry out 72h continuous trial operation and be put into commercial trial operation.
