The unit of the Indonesian Banten 1×670MW Supercritical Coal-fired Power Plant Project contracted by Harbin Electric International Company Limited (“HEI”), set another new record at 22:06 on January 1 2018. So far the power plant unit “made in China” has stably operated overseas for 180 days and accumulatively produced electric power of 36.5×108kWh. on the average, it annually generates electric power 3.8×108kWh a month, and it has become an important peak load regulating unit in the state grid area of Indonesia. After achieving continuous safe and stable operation for 150 days on December 3, 2017, HEI fulfilled its responsibility and attitude of “Made-by-HE” again with its practical actions, which demonstrated the mission and duty of “Chinese Quality”.  

In the 3.5×107KW Power Plan (2015-2019) proposed by the Indonesian government, the Indonesian Banten Power Plant Project is the first project and the only IPP project in commercial operation. The main equipments (including boilers, steam turbines and generators) are manufactured and supplied by subsidiaries of Harbin Electric Corporation (“HE”) including Harbin Boiler Company Limited, Harbin Turbine Company Limited and Harbin Electric Machinery Company Limited. Most of the auxiliary machines and equipments are also made in China. The main companies participating in the construction are Chinese central enterprises, such as China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC), China State Construction, Energy China and State Grid. This project is a symbolic project “Made in China” and “Built by China”. As of March 28, 2017, the project was put into commercial operation officially. It passed the 30-day operational reliability evaluation on April 16, started its 2-year warranty period on April 22 and was awarded the project Taking-Over Certificate on July 28. HEI showed the best performance regarding continuity, safety, stability and full capacity in the warranty period of the large supercritical coal-fired power unit of the international EPC project. While maximizing the guarantee for the stable operation of the unit, HEI has also completed all the technical training and giving technical guidance on practical operation for the LBE personnel. At present, HEI has completed the overall operation delivery of multiple systems and the work of the relevant posts has been independently done by the personnel from the Owner independently, which has been highly applauded by the Owner.
