Making an overall plan for both the epidemic prevention and control and the production and operation task is both a fierce battle and a great examination. Since the comprehensive construction and production resumption, HEI has done all it can do to promote the implementation of its overseas projects and ensure the quality, milestone achievement and contract fulfillment at its overseas project sites. It has taken a series of hardcore measures to accelerate the construction and production resumption.

On March 6, 2020, in Pakistan, the concrete placing of the Jamshoro Project turbine base structure below Meter Zero was successfully completed 36 days ahead of schedule.

Since January 22, 2020, concrete was poured for 8 times for the turbine base structure below Meter Zero including the base boards, side walls, buttresses, etc. at the generator side, the circulating pump pit, the condensation water pump pit, the condenser, etc. at the Jamshoro Project site, the cumulative placed concrete volume was about 3,083 cubic meters and the cumulative time length was about 73 hours. The tasks at the milestone were successfully completed ahead of schedule, which laid a solid foundation for the subsequent installation, stator placement, and the construction of the power receiving equipment outside Row A of the power house.

At present, the civil construction of the Jamshoro Project is in its peak period and a lot of resources such as equipment, materials and manpower are needed. Affected by the epidemic, the Jamshoro Project Team has effectively and pragmatically prevented and controlled the epidemic at the site according to the deployment requirements of the corporate CPC committee, in an adverse external condition. The project team, the owner and the subcontractors have joined their hands and worked together to jointly prevent and control the epidemic and established an epidemic prevention model with the joint cooperative correspondence of the three parties. Adhering to the principle of focusing on the critical paths and controlling the important milestones, the project team has used more manpower in the main construction to ensure that the main construction will not lag behind. The manpower for the turbine base has been doubled and they have worked on two shifts to promote the construction progress and strictly control the safety items and the quality. The project team has successfully completed the construction of the turbine base structure below Meter Zero ahead of schedule by reasonably making overall arrangements, controlling the quality well and using sufficient manpower, materials and equipment. In the epidemic period, the project team has shown its strong sense of responsibility and undertaking as an EPC contractor and revealed their difficulty-overcoming and contract fulfillment attitude and spirit, which have been affirmed by the project owner.

Good news constantly came from the project site as the construction and production resumed. The beforehand achievement of milestone has greatly raised the morale of all the corporate employees. HEI will strive hard to reach its annual target with strong determination and confidence and achieve success in both the epidemic prevention and control and the production and operation goal realization!
