Unit #1 of the Hassyan Project completed back feed power successfully in one shot

At 16:25 on June 4 local time in Dubai, the Dubai Hassyan 4x600MW Clean Coal-fired Plant Project undertaken by HEI achieved a major milestone breakthrough — the 400kV line, main transformer and HV house service transformers successfully underwent the back feed power impact test in their respective first tests, indicating that the Hassyan Project had entered the commissioning stage of individual systems, and providing a powerful guarantee for future commissioning, synchronization and power generation.

The international standards are implemented in the Hassyan Project and the local laws and regulations of Dubai have strict requirements for back feed power. The Hassyan Project Department of HEI carried out efficient management, ensured the subcontracted work and cross operations were done in a safe and orderly manner, took the initiative to face challenges upon additional requests of the owner and made the transformer area and 400kV line area successfully pass all the inspections of DEWA and ACWA prior to the electric power connection on May 30, making the back feed power possible. In order to ensure the smooth power receiving, the Electric Control Team at the site organized plant-wide and individual system commissioning in cooperation with all subcontractors, with clear division of duties, to ensure the compliance of operations with regulations and safety management at the site, hence making all processes well organized during the power receiving period.

At 9:49 on June 2, after the switching station, power plant side, and 400 kV line were inspected, the 400 kV line was energized successfully in the first energizing attempt, marking the beginning of the 24-hour power receiving as required by the DEWA.

At 13:20 on June 4, the HV house service transformer A successfully underwent the back feed power impact test in its first test, marking the official beginning of the 1-hour power receiving. At 16:25, the HV house service transformer B successfully underwent the back feed power impact test in its first test, indicating the transformers A and B had officially entered the 24-hour power receiving period.
