HEI signs the EPC Contract for Ecuadorian Termoesmeraldas II Project,the 1st contract in South America

November 29 2011: Harbin Electric International Co.,Ltd.(HEI)and Ecuador State Power Company (CELEC EP) officially signed the EPC contract for Termoesmeraldas II Project. The location of the site is in Esmeraldas Province, 7.5 kilometers away from the City of Esmeraldas and close to Termoesmeraldas I Power Plant. The power plant configuration is 12 units of 8000kw diesel generating units, with a total capacity of 96MW.The contract price is around 100 million US dollars, and the completion time is 24 months.

Termoesmeraldas II Project is the 1st EPC contract HEI has signed in Ecuador, which has a strategic significance for HEI and HE Group in developing new market. The current contract signing has laid a solid foundation for HEI to further develop South American market.
