June 15th, 2012 would be a very important day in the history of Harbin Electric International (H.E.I.). The First Employee Games was held in the stadium of Harbin University of Science and Technology.

The blooming flowers, the flying flag and the hot air balloon with colorful ribbons brought a truly festival atmosphere., The opening ceremony began at 7:30am and 19 athlete formations, helding up banners and shouting slogans, quened orderly with high and vigorous spirits for the presidium review.

The national flaged was raised up,the national anthem was played. The Salutes were sounded and doves spreaded wings and flied. The atmosphere was serious and warm.

Mr. Guo Yu, Chairman of the Board, made a speech in the opening ceremony. He warmly welcomed the guests from India’s ESSAR Group on behalf of H.E.I. and sincerely expressed greetings to all the athletes, coaches, referees and the staff involved in orginazing this Games.

Mr. Guo Yu said that this Games would be a big show of the spiritual appearance of all HEI’s people and also a great stage for teamwork developing. Additionally, this year the company is going to focus more on its goal to improve the happiness of employees and instil new vitality into enterprise, in order to create a positive and nice organizational atmosphere throughout hosting various activities . The sports game is the competation of the Power, the Wisdom and the appearance of the team cooperation. At the same time, Mr. Guo Yu hoped that all people would take the sporting spirit of higher, faster, stronger into actual work to make greater contributions to the development of our company. He wished that all athletes participated this Games with enthusiasm and great tenacity and carried forward togetherness, friendship, harmoniousness, and hard struggle ,

After his speech, representatives of the athletes and referees swore solemn oaths.

Mr. Qu Aimin, Secretary of the Party Committee ,announced the opening of the First Employee Games.

13 track and field events were set up in the First Employee Games, including 100 meter, 400 meter and 800-meter sprints, medley relay, and shot-put for youth group and middle-aged group. There are also 5 team events such as the three-man four-legged race, rope jumping, back-to-back ball-carrying relay, ball-passing competition, and tug of war. There was very fierce competition on the grounds as the audience cheered for athletes in the bleachers. It was an explosion of youth and vigor, an interpretation of solidarity! This was a match of physically prowess and a review of mental strength.

After the fierce competition, 13 track and field records were announced. The 6th Thermal Power Division, Finance Division, and General Administration Office won the top three in the team events, while the 4th Thermal Power Division, General Administration Office, Finance Division, and the 6th Thermal Power Division were awarded the sportsmanship medals.

Mr. Zhang Liwei, Vice President, made a closing speech. He said that this Games was a grand opportunity to demonstrate H.E.I.’s cohesion and centripetal force, and showed the employees’ fighting spirit successfully. Meanwhile, he hoped that all employees would carry forward the competitive spirit back to their offices at work, keeping their newly fostered fighting spirit to break records in the workplace.

Finally, Mr. Zhang Liwei. emphasized that although the Games had ended, the competition sense, teamwork cooperation and extreme challenging should be continued and enhanced in the actual work. He hoped all the members of the H.E.I. would carry on the sporting spirit of higher, faster, stronger to set up higher expectations of work, increase the work efficiency, to build stronger willpower for a brilliant tomorrow of HEI!

The First Employee Games of H.E.I. completed at 11:50am successfully .
