On October 29, 2014, Mr. Zou Lei, President of HE Corporation, Mr. Guo Yu, President and Chairman of HEI and Mr. Dong Yinzhu, Vice President of HEI held a meeting with Mr. Le Minh Chuan, President of Vinacomin and his delegation.

During the meeting, Mr. Zou Lei, President of HEI Corporation extended his warm welcome to Mr. Le Minh Chuan for his visit to HEI as his first choice after he took office. Mr. Zou Lei gave a detailed introduction to Vinacomin guests on such aspects as history, product, industrial planning, scientific innovation, technical progress as well as features and strength of power equipment products. Mr. Zou Lei stated that under the leadership of Mr. Guo Yu, HEI has made an outstanding contribution to its development in international markets. By virtue of its cooperation with Vinacomin on CAO NGAN Thermal Power Plant Project and Campha I &II Coal Fired Thermal Power Plant Project, HEI has set up a benchmark for successful cooperation in international markets. Particularly, HEI has successfully implemented the Vietnam Campha Project and has been awarded the Outstanding Power Contribution Award issued by Vietnam government. Mr. Zou Lei said that HE Corporation would strengthen its cooperation with Vinacomin in the following three fields: First, providing technical support for the operating power plants owned by Vinacomin in full play; second, giving priority to the development of Vietnam power market and especially enhancing the cooperation with Vinacomin; last, promoting the exchange of visits to each other and establishing a strategic partnership.

President and Chairman Guo Yu of HEI stated that HEI has entered Vietnam Market for more than 10 years and its staff is well inspired by the straight-forward personality and can-do attitude to be realistic and pragmatic after successful cooperation with Vinacomin on large scale power plant projects. As a result, the HEI-contracted Campha II coal fired thermal power plant project creates the shortest completion time record in Vietnam power market. Over the past, HEI has established a sound reputation in Vietnam market and has been awarded the tender of Vinh Tan III 3X660MW coal fired power plant EPC project. HEI will provide all-round support for three operating power plants constructed by HEI and maintain the stable performance of the power plants so as to make sure the three power plants top the list in factors such as total generating capacity and operation quality for the trust of the Owner.

Mr. Le Minh Chuan, President of Vinacomin extended his congratulations to HEI for being awarded the tender of Vinh Tan III 3X660MW coal fired power plant EPC project, and expressed that as the coal supplier for the Vinh Tan III Project, Vinacomin was willing to provide assistance for HEI in expanding its Vietnam power market. Such a visit aims to enhance the friendship and deepen the cooperation between the two companies. HEI-contracted Campha project is highly valued by Vietnam government, especially in four aspects: high quality unit, sound cooperation, short completion period and superior engineering technology, which is an honor jointly shared by HEI and Vinacomin. Mr. Le Min Chuan also introduced the main businesses and products, stockholding reform progress of Vinacomin’s power plants, analysis on current Vietnam power market and planning and progress for Vietnam government large-scale power plant projects in the next stage. He sincerely looked forward to an active participation of HE Corporation in the development of Vietnam power market so as to push forward the development of Vietnam’s economy and society by virtue of HE corporation’s power equipments and products.

The two parties reached consensus in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, expecting a further cooperation in the future so as to jointly make active contribution to Vietnam’s economic development and wishing the friendship between the people of China and Vietnam last forever.
