On April 23, 2017, President Qu Aimin of Harbin Electric International Company Limited (HEI) visited the Banten Project site, Indonesia for inspection and guidance of work.

Banten Project, Indonesia was formally brought into commercial operation (CO) on March 28, 2017 and passed the 30-day continuous reliability test run in one go on April 16. The unit is running steadily. The commercial operation date (COD) of Banten Project is nearly three and a half months earlier than the time limit set forth in the PPA concluded between the Employer and PLN; and the project is the first one in the five-year (2015-2019) planning of the Indonesian Government for 35,000MW electric power and the only IPP power plant project brought into CO, showing the global strength of “Made in China” and “Built by China” and again promoting the brand of HEI in the international market. At present, the project site is witnessing tense performance tests and take-over certificate (TOC) preparations.

Qu listened carefully to a work report from the project team, visited the project site and learnt the operation conditions of the units, affirmed the achievements of Banten Project and extended his gratitude for the efforts and hard work of the workers at the project site. Qu requested the Business Division to vigorously promote the TOC preparations and complete the project as soon as possible on the premise of guaranteeing stable unit operations. Meanwhile, the Business Division should sum up the experiences in the implementation of Banten Project, share such experiences and lessons with other departments of the company to prevent similar problems from occurring in the implementation of other projects.
