On July 6-7, 2017, according to the arrangement of the Ministry of Commerce, a delegation consisting of two training classes — the 2017 State Grid Construction and Operation Capability Construction Training Class for African Countries and the 2017 Electric Power Equipment and Technology Development Training Class for Developing Countries — including 130 international business officials from 19 countries along the Belt and Road such as Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Sudan, Zimbabwe and South Africa came to Harbin Electric Corporation (HEC) to visit and study HEC and to learn electric power equipment manufacturing capacity of China and conducted communicational exchanges.

The delegation consisting of international business officials visited Harbin Electrical Machinery Corporation, Harbin Turbine Corporation, Harbin Boiler Corporation and HEC Exhibition Hall and heard the description on the HEC development history, the nuclear power products, electric power products, the international project EPC capacity, etc. The training class officials exclaimed the overview of the projects undertaken by Harbin Electric International Company Limited (HEI) and the honors gained by HEI. They constantly praised the strength of HEC.

The officials of the 2017 State Grid Construction and Operation Capability Construction Training Class for African Countries appreciated the Ministry of Commerce and HEC for providing this good opportunity for them so that they could deeply understand the Belt and Road and the excellent Chinese enterprises. They hoped that the construction of the Belt and Road would enable their countries to achieve development with China together.

The visit of the international business official delegation has great strategic significance to promoting the HEC awareness and enabling HEC brands to fully enter international markets.
