On September 9, 2017 (local time), Mr. Feng Yongqiang, the Deputy Secretary of the CPC Party Committee of HE, visited the site of the Bhikki 1180MW Combined Cycle Power Plant Project in Pakistan and inspected and guided the work of HEI.

Mr. Feng inspected the operation of the two gas turbines and the overall progress of the project, listened to a work report from the head of the 1st Thermal Power Division of HEI on the project management and overseas grass-root party organization construction, and friendly communicated with the on-site workers.

Mr. Feng highly affirmed the outstanding contribution of the project team and praised the employees for their hard work. He pointed out that, the 1st Thermal Power Division had been assigned two important projects and we believed it would be able to face challenges. As a major force to open up a broader international market, HEI should adapt itself to the development trend of international market, make independent innovation, introduce leading equipment manufactured by HEI’s three major manufactories to the international market and bring back business to meet international demands. When it came to his trip to Pakistan, Feng said that the China-Pakistan friendship is the most sincere and pure friendship between the Chinese people and the Pakistani people. In coincidence with the implementation of the “Belt and Road” Initiative that provides a grand blueprint for global connectivity, HE will strive to become a supporter and practitioner to make continuous contributions to Pakistan’s national economy and social development.

Mr. Feng also gave guidance to the party construction work at the site of the overseas project. He pointed out that, HE, as an enterprise owned by the Chinese central government, would adhere to the leadership of the CPC and reinforce the party construction, which served as the “root” and “soul” for enterprise development. As we know, the party construction work at the site of the overseas project may encounter some problems due to time and space limitation. Under such a circumstance, HEI as a window enterprise of HE must place greater emphasis on the party construction work at the site of the overseas project. The party branch as a fortress to tackle tough should create new organizational forms for the party construction, actively carry out diverse party construction activities, enhance the theoretical study, and constantly strengthen the organizational construction. HEI should also always keep in mind its duties and missions, take actions according to the principle of “loving and respecting the party and upholding the interests of the party”, take the party construction as the fundamental, stick to the core value of “Concerted Efforts, Dedicated Services”, strive to seek bright development of HE, struggle for a great cause with HE and create a splendid future for HE.
