On January 15, 2018 local time, invited by Masdar CEO Mr. Mohamed Al Ramahi, HEI President Qu Aiming attended the opening ceremony of the 11th “Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW)” held at capital of UAE, Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. The ADSW was themed “Sustainable Energy Development”.

The 11th ADSW was the largest platform concerning energy, water resources, response to climate change and sustainable development in the Middle East. It attracted representatives from more than 170 countries and regions in the world. Present were Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Commander in Chief of the UAE Armed Forces, and numerous international politicians, government ministers, enterprise representatives and renowned experts and scholars in the energy and renewable energy field. The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi presented awards to enterprises and individuals winning the 2017 Zayed Future Energy Prize. The ceremony also invited excellent enterprise representatives around the world to deliver speeches and participate in a seminar. It is expected that the 11th ADSW will witness over 30,000 participants and visitors.

The sustainable development and new energy project development represents the future trend of the world energy and power development. The 11th ADSW provides HEI with a good opportunity to have a deep understanding of sustainable energy and power development, and exerts far-reaching effects on HEI ’s march towards the international high-end power market and accelerating the development of new energy projects.
