From October 12 to 17, HEI successfully held the 2026 Intermediate Project Manager Training Program. Designed to implement HEI’s strategic plan during the “15th Five-Year Plan” period, deeply advance the “three-in-one” comprehensive improvement deployment, and systematically strengthen the talent pipeline development, this training sought to build a growth platform for intermediate project management backbones and cultivate a group of reserve project managers for the company who understand the business, excel in management, and are capable of tackling key challenges.
On October 12, Li Chao, Chairman of HEI, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Also attending the ceremony were Zhang Shijie, Deputy General Manager of HEI, and Zhang Heng, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee of HEI.

The meeting noted that this training is a key lever for HEI to implement the “three-in-one” comprehensive improvement deployment and strengthen organizational construction. It is essential to leverage this training to continuously enhance the comprehensive competence of the project manager team, build ideological consensus, promote exchange and mutual understanding, and consolidate the foundation for development.
The meeting required all trainees to continuously hone solid capabilities in execution, critical thinking, and communication, proactively sharpen their skills and broaden their horizons, and grow toward becoming versatile management backbones and leaders in core positions. They were urged to practice the principles of “a sense of mission, staying on the right path, and a results-oriented approach,” remain dedicated to hard work, integrate learning, thinking, and application, unify knowledge, belief, and action, and make progress together through mutual learning and reference, thus translating the outcomes of this training into tangible results that drive the company’s high-quality development.
The training courses were closely aligned with the core needs of international engineering project management, offering specialized courses on international engineering compliance and contract risk management, financial and tax management, and procurement and supply chain management. Special seminars were held on international engineering project variations, claims, and counter-claims, alongside interactive sessions such as a global storytelling session and group competitions. All trainees immersed themselves in study, engaged in in-depth discussions, and actively exchanged ideas. Through the collision of ideas, they broadened their professional horizons, and through mutual learning and reference, they enhanced team cohesion.

On October 17, Jin Changfan and Zhang Shijie, Deputy General Managers of HEI, attended the closing ceremony. At the closing ceremony, outstanding learning groups, outstanding individuals, and the best case study results were commended. Trainees were encouraged to take this training as a new starting point, apply the knowledge and methods they acquired to project management practice, and contribute to the company's high-quality development with solid work performance.

This Intermediate Project Manager Training Program is another important measure in HEI's talent pipeline development following the Senior Project Manager Training Program, forming a talent cultivation system that connects senior and intermediate management talents. HEI will continue to deepen its tiered and categorized talent development mechanism, constantly improve the talent cultivation chain for project management, and provide solid talent support for the company to deepen its presence in overseas markets and build a world-class project management enterprise.
