HEI Signs Cooperation MOU for Pakistani 660-MW Coal Fired Power Plant BOT Project with Pakistan’s K-Electric Limited

On February 12, 2014, a delegation from Pakistan K-Electric Limited (formerly Karachi Electric Supply Company Limited, the owner of Pakistan’s Bin Qasim 560-MW Combined-Cycle Power Plant Project) including Mr. Syed Moonis Abdullah, the CFO, and Mr. Arshad Zahidi, the Chief Officer of the Power Generation and Transmission Department, paid a friendly visit to HEI and signed a Cooperation MOU for Pakistan’s 660-MW Coal Fired Power Plant BOT Project.The two parties conversed during the visit, with the owner fully recognizing HEI’s execution of the Pakistan Bin Qasim 560-MW Combined-Cycle Power Plant Project. The owner also expressed his willingness to continue cooperation with HEI as well as in discussing updating the power grid of Pakistan’s city of Karachi and a green-field 660-MW Coal Fired Power Plant BOT Project. Thereafter, the two parties signed the Cooperation MOU for Pakistan’s 660-MW Coal Fired Power Plant BOT Project, laying a solid foundation for HEI’s further development of BOT projects.
