On February 28, 2014, HEI formally signed a long-term after-sales service contract for Indonesia’s Banten 670-MW coal fired power plant. Mr. Qu Aimin, Secretary of the HEI Party Committee, and Mr. Ling Eng Kheat, Board Director of the Banten Project, represented the two parties in signing the contract.

The contract includes the supply and installation of equipment and spare parts as well as O&M and inspection. The service scope covers O&M, annual inspection, minor and major inspection and repair, and the supply of spare parts. It is HEI’s first long-term after-sales service contract with the most comprehensive services. The duration of the contract is six years.

The contract not only provides necessary support for the financing of the Banten Project, but will also help accelerate the project’s financing process. Moreover, it is a major achievement in HEI’s shift toward providing comprehensive power services for its clients and moving its focus from after-sale to pre-sale and offering high-quality power services.

In 2014, HEI will develop four business sections. As one of the four business sections, after-sales services will be strongly promoted by HEI. To ensure the expansion of its after-sales service market and that it leads in overall competitiveness, HEI will commit itself to continuously improving the quality of its services, increasing its number of new customers, and making the most of opportunities in the after-sales service market.
