Mr. Esteban Albornoz, electric power minister of Ecuador, and Mr. Santiago Arias, general manager and owner of the Minas Project, with two other delegation members, paid a visit to the HE Corporation on November 20th and 21st, 2013.

Mr. Gong Jingkun, chairman of HE Corporation, Mr. Guo Yu, chairman of the board and president of HEI, Mr. Yang Qingli, vice president of HEI, Mr. Zhang Rui, secretary of the Party committee of Harbin Electric Machinery Co ltd, Mr. Li Weidong, vice president of Harbin Electric Machinery Coltd and other corporation leaders held a meeting with the minister at the headquarters of the HE Corporation after they had visited the hydropower branch factory and test-bed for the large-scale generator institute of Harbin Electric Machinery Co ltd.

On behalf of the HE Corporation, Mr. Gong Jingkun extended welcome and gratitude to the visit of the minister and his delegation during the meeting. He expressed that the two countries may be at distance geographically, but their friendship is closely connected and HEI’s people still hold their passion in spite of the coldness of Harbin’s ice and snow. The minister has always shown concern and support for the project executed by the HE Corporation in Ecuador. This visit is that of trust and the attachment of importance to HE Corporation, the visit is a great promotion of the on-going projects in Ecuador and will deepen mutual understanding, strengthen friendship and advance cooperation in the projects between both parties.

On behalf of the president of the Ecuador, Mr. Esteban Albornoz extended gratitude to the hospitality of the HE Corporation, who also expressed that the Electric Power Ministry of Ecuador has a keen willingness to promote the construction of the projects of Ecuador. In view of HE Corporation’s rich experience in the power industry, it has achieved strong business performances, especially in the EPC of large-scale power projects. The minister hoped that HE could guarantee that the projects of Ecuador would be performed on time and completed in high-quality. In the meantime, through the visit to the Harbin Electricity Machinery Co ltd, the minister also expressed his satisfaction towards HE’s electrical equipment manufacturing capacity and his confidence in the projects executed by HE.

During the meeting, Mr Gong Jingkun outlined the situation in terms of the development, project execution, equipment manufacturing capability, and technical capacity of HE and expressed that HEI has three projects in Ecuador, and all the HE’s companies have rich experience and strength to execute the program successfully. According to the requirements of the ministry, HE will certainly react to the minister’s requests to organize the best strength and make a serious effort to complete these projects and also strive to make quality engineering.

The minister and his delegation also heard the performance reports of the Esmeraldas Thermal Power Plant Project, Minas Hydro Electrical Project, and 500KV Transmission Line projects.
