HEI Chairman Guo Yu Pays Formal Visit to Ni Jian, Chinese Ambassador, UAE

Feb. 16, 2017, Guo Yu, Chairman of the Board and Party Secretary of HEI,

visited Abu Dhabi, UAE to pay a special visit to Ni Jian, Ambassador of China

to the UAE.

Chairman

Guo reported in detail on the progress and

financing structure of the Hassyan 4×600MW Clean-Coal Project in Dubai and

current production and operation status of

HE Group (Harbin Electric Corporation).

He stated that the Hassyan

Project is invested by Chinese enterprise, financed by Chinese financing

institute, contracted by Chinese EPC Contractor, designed in China, procured

from China, and constructed by Chinese company. It is of

important demonstrating

significance for implementing the "Going Global" and the "One Belt and One Road" strategies. Meanwhile, the project observes the highest international standards in design and environmental

protection and is able to really embody the engineering level of Chinese EPC

contractors.

Ambassador

Ni expressed his congratulations to HEI for its win-out from many internationally

famous companies to undertake the

project as the investor and the EPC

contractor. He asked about the project’s economic benefits, power rate payment scheme and fuel supply in detail and set forth requirements that need paying special attention to during the project's execution in

Dubai. The Ambassador

hoped that HEI can fully understand and get familiar with the market of Dubai so as to carefully organize construction and strive to

complete the project successfully. He also expressed that the

Embassy will support HEI and the Hassyan Project with all its strength.
