HEI Chairman Guo Yu Meets President of UAE EMEG

On Feb. 15, 2017, Guo Yu, Chairman of the

Board and Party Secretary of HEI, met Sultan

Ali Saqer al Suweidi, President of the UAE Emirates Marine Environmental Group

(EMEG) in the Hassyan Project Office in Dubai.

During the conversation, Chairman Guo thanked

EMEG for its great support of HEI in environmental protection and briefed HEI project

team’s efforts on the local environmental

protection program,

coral transplantation, green turtle protection,

sea protection, lagoon

area protection, mangrove

transplantation and protection of other local animals and plants. The chairman

expressed that HEI is very glad to have the opportunity to invest in and construct power plant in Dubai, following up on its social responsibility of

"being environment friendly and building a sweet home". Chairman Guo

added that the design, procurement, and

construction would strictly observe the local environmental requirements of Dubai and that HEI is

striving to build the

Hassyan Project into an exemplary project of clean

energy and environmental protection.

Mr. Ali Saqer al Suweidi, President of EMEG,

welcomed HEI to conduct investments

and construction projects

in Dubai. He said that

Dubai’s development was inseparable from the efforts by Chinese

enterprises and that they would completely

support HEI’s project construction. The president gave a detailed introduction

of EMEG’s course of development, operation mechanism, social service activities, training towards youths of

environmental protection and information on all the living organisms near the

project site. He also accompanied Chairman Guo on a tour of the work EMEG has done for the

protection of sick green

turtles and foxes.

EMEG is a public-welfare NGO and a

professional organization whose main duty is to protect the local environment. EMEG is responsible

for providing the Dubai Government with key opinion on the evaluation, approval, and execution of various plans

during the construction of the Hassyan Project.
