On April 6, 2017, Guo Yu, Chairman of the Board of HEI and Dong Yinzhu, Vice President of HEI, visited the Banten Project site, Indonesia for inspection and guidance of the work there, attending a high-level site coordination meeting with the owner.

Accompanied by Li Mo, Acting President of the 2nd Thermal Power Division of HEI and others, Guo, Dong and President Mr. TS Ong of Genting Malaysia Berhad, the Banten Project Owner, inspected the commercial operation of the unit on site of the Banten Project. The project successfully achieved COD on March 28, 2017 and was formally put into commercial operation, nearly three and a half months ahead of the committed date set forth in the PPA between the owner and Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN; Indonesian electric distribution corporation). Moreover, the unit entered its 30-day reliable operation test on March 17, 2017, establishing a sound reputation for HEI.

In the high-level site coordination meeting with the owner, leaders of both parties had deep discussions over the preparation for the issuance of Taking Over Certificate (TOC) of the Banten Project and any remaining opening issues, and reached a consensus on key issues about the TOC in principle, clearly charting a course for future work of the Banten Project and strongly promoting the progress of the project. Mr. TS Ong extended his congratulations to the successful COD of the project and expressed thanks for the efforts made by HEI and any participating units, expressing satisfaction with the current operation of the unit and progress of the project.

Guo and Dong also had a symposium with all personnel of the 2nd Thermal Power Division on site where they affirmed the efforts and achievements the division had made and respectively delivered a speech on the situation and an informational briefing. Based on the overall deployment and arrangement of the Implementation Plan of HEI Party Committee for Carrying out the Situation and Mission Education Activity of “Going Grassroots and Accessing to Work Teams (Construction Sites)”, Guo analyzed in detail the current situation and important missions of HEI in combination with the spirit of the speech delivered by the HE(HEI’s parent company) Chairman of the Board Si Zefu in HE’s 2017 Working Conference and 2017 Party Building Working Conference and Anti-corruption and Pro-cleanness Construction Working Conference. Guo requested that cadre and employees on site meet the requirements of the central authorities and HEI, while giving top priority to quality and service, so as to constantly improve the popularity and market image of HE and lay a solid foundation for HE to comprehensively “go global”. He also encouraged employees on site to forge ahead and continue to carry forward the spirit of courageous struggle to achieve the TOC of the project as early as possible.
