HEI President Qu Aimin Attends Hassyan Project, Dubai Terminal and Water Intake and Outfall Groundbreaking Ceremony and Monthly High-Level Meeting on Invitation

On March 20, 2017, the terminal and water

intake and outfall of Hassyan Project, Dubai undertaken by Harbin Electric

International Company Limited (HEI) formally started. HEI President Qu Aimin

was invited by CCCC Second Harbor Consultants Co., Ltd. (CTESI), a strategic

partner of HEI, to attend the groundbreaking ceremony and the 7th High-Level Meeting of the project held on site the next day.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Qu heard a

report on the progress of the terminal and water intake and outfall made by

CTESI and fully affirmed the preparatory work of CTESI. Qu encouraged CTESI to

make persistent efforts to ensure the construction of the terminal and water

intake and outfall work as scheduled.

In the 7th High-level Meeting of

the project, the Employer and EPC team had discussions on the work of the Hassyan Project. Qu fully communicated

with Mr. Abunayyan, Chairman of the Board of ACWA on important matters

influencing project schedule and cost and made clear time nodes to solve these

problems. Qu and Abunayyan expressed satisfaction with the overall progress in

the project.

Qu also inspected the project progress, heard

a work report from the project team, and

integrated the “going grassroots and entering work teams (on site)” mode of mission

educational events, explaining in detail HEI’s working conference spirit and the current situation and missions of

HEI and the strategic significance of the Hassyan

Project, Dubai. Qu pointed out that HEI should try its utmost to carry out the Hassyan Project, Dubai and the project

team should live up to the great trust and consummate the project construction,

so as to lay a foundation for HEI to continue to exploit the international high-end electricity

market. Qu requested the Project

Department to sort out project difficulties on a regular basis, perform expert

review from a technical perspective, strengthen project control and by no means

ignorance of management by outsource

the

administration of procurement and construction. Operations Management

Department should assist with the summary

of experience in all stages of the Hassyan

Project.

Present were also HEI Chief

Operation Officer Wang Ruian, HEI Chief Project Officer Xu Hongfu, representatives of the employer and HEI’s partners

such as the Second Construction Co.,

Ltd. of China Construction Third Engineering Bureau, Tianjin Electric Power

Construction Company and China Construction Steel Structure Corp., Ltd..
