HEI Signs Memorandum of Understanding on Coal-Electricity Integration Project and Geothermal Energy Project with Two Ukrainian Companies

11, 2017, Alexander Tymoshenko, Chairman of Ukraine International Project

Engineering Co., Ltd., Yuri Coffe, CEO of Ukraine Coal and Electricity

Integration Co., Ltd., and Wajim Ulida, Vice President of Ukraine Geothermal

Energy Development Project Co., Ltd. visited HEI and held talks with HEI’s

President Qu Aimin and Vice President Wang Shimin. They carried out in-depth

exchanges and discussions

on coal-electricity integration, geothermal energy exploitation and old power

plant upgrading and reconstruction. HEI signed a memorandum

of understanding (MOU) on the coal-electricity

integration project and geothermal energy project with Ukraine Coal and

Electricity Integration Co., Ltd. and Ukraine Geothermal Energy Development

Project Co., Ltd.

The MOU

identified the direction of further cooperation,

establishing a mutually

supportive and mutually beneficial platform of cooperation, thereby laying a

solid foundation for HEI to exploit the power

market in Ukraine, Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of the Independent

States, thus giving this undertaking important strategic

significance to deepen the implementation of the “One Belt,

One Road” Initiative.
