On the morning of Nov. 24, 2017, local time in Dubai, HE Chairman Si Zefu, accompanied by HEI Chairman Guo Yu, paid a visit to Mr. Abunayyan, Chairman of the Board of ACWA Group. Both parties had a deep discussion about energy development, cooperative market development, project investment and EPC contracting in Dubai.

Si Zefu expressed his thanks for ACWA Group’s selection of HE in the cooperation of the Hassyan project and Mr. Abunayyan’s contributions to advancing the Project. Si Zefu pointed out: the Hassyan project is one of the most important overseas projects of HE in implementing China’s Belt and Road Initiative, and a key one for promoting the friendly cooperation between the Chinese Government and UAE Government. The Hassyan project has attracted attentions of the whole group. At present, the construction of the Hassyan project is moving forward well on schedule, which is the result of the efforts by all parties concerned.

Si Zefu emphasized that, smooth progress of the Hassyan project benefited from the good cooperation mode between the two countries. Selecting a Chinese company as the cooperation partner is a right choice of ACWA Group. Meanwhile, it has provided an international arena for HE to demonstrate glamour of China. Si Zefu hoped that both parties can further deepen cooperation and identify common ground to build a mutual-benefit and win-win international model.

Mr. Abunayyan extended its warm welcome to presence of Si Zefu and his delegation, and expressed his thanks for Si Zefu’s attentions on and supports for the Hassyan project. He fully affirmed the performance of HEI in the construction and the mode of cooperation between ACWA Group and HE. Mr. Abunayyan pointed out: The Hassyan project, as the standby power supply to EXPO 2020 Dubai, is significant and attracts much attention, and the environmental requirements are at the highest level in the world. The cooperation between the two parties in the Hassyan project further strengthens the two parties’ confidence in the future cooperation.

The two parties had an exchange on further cooperation.
