Manzanillo III Combined Cycle Project in Mexico Successfully Achieves Grid Connection

At 22:09 local time on December 16, the Manzanillo III 350 MW Combined Cycle Project in Mexico, constructed by Harbin Electric International (HEI), successfully achieved combined cycle grid connection and power generation. The unit is operating stably with all parameters performing well, marking a critical milestone toward full commercial operation.

To ensure successful grid connection of the steam turbine unit, the Manzanillo III project team planned ahead and deployed comprehensive strategies. Focusing on the critical path for combined cycle commissioning, the team systematically identified technical challenges and risk points, and organized close collaboration among the commissioning and operations units, OEMs, equipment supplier representatives, and all participating contractors. The team conducted multiple rounds of integrated system commissioning and special inspections, and established dedicated troubleshooting teams to address issues immediately, ensuring smooth coordination of critical milestones such as steam turbine roll and grid connection. By strictly implementing safety and quality management control requirements, the team ultimately achieved the predetermined goal of combined cycle grid connection.
