Time:2013-11-27

The Pakistan GUDU 747MW Combined Cycle Power Plant executed by HEI has gained continuous successes: Two units of HRSG have passed water pressure tests and have been taken over by the employer, supervisor and third party on December 7th, this means that the erection of HRSG’s main equipment has been totally completed following the successful attachment of the turbine generator’s rotator on December 2nd, 2013.

The Pakistan GUDU Project is HEI’s first export project of 9FA class Combined Cycle Power Plant Project as well as the biggest capacity Combined Cycle Power Plant Unit executed by HEI. The project contract, with a “2+1+1” gas steam combined cycle unit, came into force and effect on August 27th, 2010, in which two units of GE PG9351FA class gas turbines plus two reheating, naturally circulating tri-pressure HRSGs jointly drive one set of steam turbines. Additionally, the whole units can perform in both single-cycle operation mode and combined-cycle operation mode with the flue gas damper devices and by-pass chimney on the output of gas turbine. Since the commencement of the project, HEI has overcome the difficulties of construction, high standards, and adverse circumstances, and set the proper project schedule and management system to strictly control the quality, cost and time for completion.

The completion of the installation of the rotator and the success of the HRSG’s water press tests have set a good foundation for the next step of the commissioning works.
