On March 19th, 2014, the grand kick-off ceremony of Turkey Soma Project contracted by HEI was held on the Project site, located at Soma town, Izmir city, Turkey. Mr. Taner Yildiz, the Minister of the Turkey Energy and Natural Resource Ministry, the Mayor of Izmir, the Mayor of Soma town, General Manager of the Coal Company and other officials attended the ceremony.

Minister Taner Yildiz delivered a warm speech at the ceremony, and conveyed his hopes that the Kolin Group, the Project Owner and HEI cooperate closely in the execution of the Project to ensure the synchronization of units being on schedule with guaranteed quality, and to provide indemnities for the comprehensive development and utilization of local coal resources and economic development. Mr. Xu Hongfu, the HEI’s Chief Project Officer & General Manager of the 6th Thermal Power Division and Mr. Ma Chunguang, the Construction Manager, etc. attended the ceremony on invitation, and held a discussion in relation to the execution of the Project with the Owner. They also stated that HEI will provide a high-quality Project to reward the Owner for his trust to the HEI Brand.
