At 5:28 p.m. on September 7, 2014, HEI-Contracted Indian Tuticorin 2X600MW BTG Supply Project Unit 1 achieves synchronization.

Indian Tuticorin Project Unit 1 has been fully operational since September 5, 2014. The Turbine began running at 7: 38 p.m. on September 6, its speed maintaining 3000 r/min and functioning at normal levels by 11:18 p.m. All the pre-synchronization electronic tests had been completed on the afternoon of September 7th. The Success of Synchronization has laid a solid foundation for the trial run and turn-over of the whole project.
