Signing Ceremony for ZETES III 2X660MW Supercritical Thermal Power Plant Project

On Jan 23, 2013: The signing ceremony for Turkey ZETES III 2X660MW Supercritical Thermal Power Plant between Harbin Electric International Co., Ltd. (HEI) and Eren Enerji Elektrik Üretim A.Ş(EREN) is held in Sofitel Wanda, Harbin. The ceremony is chaired by Mr. Zhang Liwei, Vice President with HEI.

At 17:18, VP Zhang announces the official opening of the signing ceremony. Mr. Zhang firstly introduces the leaders and guests from both sides. Afterwards, Mr. EREN, Chairman of the Board with EREN and Mr. Zhang respectively deliver speeches on behalf of each side.

VP Zhang expresses in his speech that it is HEI’s great honor to cooperate with EREN, which is a famous International corporation, and HEI is grateful for the trust from EREN group on contracting the Turkey ZETES III 2X660MW Super Supercritical Thermal Power Plant to HEI. HEI, as one core company in charge of the execution of international strategy formulated by Harbin Electric Corporation (HEC), closely depends on the rich technical advantages and products resources of HEC for years along with the abundant EPC experience, excellent project management, innovative market development strategy and unique market operation plan accumulated on its own, and has gained sound reputation and outstanding market references. VP Zhang emphasizes that, with reliance upon HEC’s excellent unit performance as well as HEI’s first-class project management, HEI is bound to build an excellent power project for the Owner.

Mr. EREN, Chairman of the Board with EREN, firstly expresses his thanks to HEI for the hospitable reception in his speech. The Turkey ZETES III 2X660MW Supercritical Thermal Power Plant has been successfully signed thanks to the joint efforts of EREN and HEI. Mr. EREN also conveys his thanks to both parties’ staff members who participated in the contract negotiation and those who work hard for the project.. Mr. EREN emphasizes that the ZETES III project is the basis for mutual long-term cooperation. He hopes that both parties will strengthen the cooperation and grow together in Turkish power field.

After that, Mr. Wang Shimin, Vice President with HEI and Mr. EREN Chairman with the Board of EREN officially sign the EPC Contract of Turkey ZETES III 2X660MW Supercritical Thermal Power Plant. Mr. Aras, Deputy GM with EREN, Mr. Zhang Liwei, Vice President with HEI, Mrs. Wang Huirong, Chief Accountant with HEI and other leaders and guests from both parties witness this great moment.

EREN is a comprehensive Company with high status in Turkey, which mainly engages in paper making and cement production, and steps into the energy field in recent years. ZETES I has already been put into operation. ZETES III 2X660MW Supercritical Thermal Power Plant is a key Project of EREN, located near to the Black Sea with the project duration lasting for 33 months.

ZETES III 2X660MW Supercritical Thermal Power Plant is the first cooperative EPC project between HEI and EREN. It is the largest thermal power project contracted by HEI after the successful completion of three hydro power plants: Damlapinar, Kepezkaya and Kumkoy Hydropower Projects in Turkey. All the technical and commercial negotiations are efficiently completed, and the Contract is successfully signed under the close cooperation and energetic promotion by EREN and HEI on the basis of HEI advantage in large thermal power project and outstanding execution references in Turkey market, such that it is one good start for the mutual all-around cooperation in the future. It is convinced that the powerful union between HEI and EREN is bound to further enhance the position of HEI in the international EPC field, and accelerate the progress of HEI leading position in all-around manner.
