On June 12th, 2014, Mr. Guo Yu, Chairman of the Board of HEI, and his delegation paid a commercial visit to Dubai, holding a meeting with Mr. Shaikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashed Al Maktoum, the Prince of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

During the conversation, Mr. Guo Yu introduced the advantage of HEI in the field of power equipment manufacture and power construction, and expressed HEI’s willingness of cooperation in power investment and power plant construction in Dubai. Mr. Guo Yu said that the current construction level of Chinese company could fully meet with the EU standard adopted in Dubai. Prince Al Maktoum indicated that competitive companies such as HEI are very welcomed to invest in Dubai, and he is willing to provide full support for HEI’s investment in Dubai. Meanwhile, he also suggested that HEI could take Dubai as a platform to expand business to Gulf Cooperation Council countries, African countries and other surrounding areas.

It is reported that, to meet the growing power demand and ease the power shortage, the government of Dubai plans to carry out several power projects by the end of 2020. The meeting between Chairman of Board, Mr. Guo Yu of HEI and Prince Al Maktoum has laid a solid foundation for HEI to develop UAE power markets.
