On March 21, 2014, Mr. Zou Lei, President of HE, and Mr. Yang Qingli, Vice President of HEI, visited Mr. Asif, Federal Minister for Water and Power, accompanied by their delegation. The two sides held a conversation on future cooperation and exchanged their views.

During the conversation, Mr. Zou Lei pointed out that since the establishment of HEI in 1983 HEI has successfully executed nine projects in Pakistan with total installation of 3327 MW. These projects account for 20.7% of Pakistan’s total power generation capacity and have provided superior, impeccable EPC services to Pakistan. He expressed hope that both sides further strengthen these operations and continue to make even greater contributions to Pakistan’s power construction.

Mr. Asif expressed gratitude to HEI for its efforts toward power construction in Pakistan. He emphasized that since the HEI entered the Pakistani market in 1983 the two sides have solidified a partnership of long-term friendly strategic cooperation. With state of the art manufacturing and technology, HE and HEI have proven able to provide increasingly superior equipment for Pakistan’s power development. He hoped that both sides would increase cooperation, embark on more projects together, further enhance their friendship, and make joint efforts toward their mutual benefit.

This visit strengthened the friendship between HEI and the Pakistani government, enhanced friendship on both sides, and significantly pushed forward HEI’s development of new projects in Pakistan.
