On June 2, 2017, Qu Aimin, Vice Chairman of the Board and President of HEI, met the Ukrainian delegation led by Alexander Sherbachuk, Vice President of Comprehensive Coal Energy Development Co., Ltd. affiliated to Ukraine Petroleum and Natural Gas Co., Ltd., and held an in-depth discussion on the construction of three coal-fired power plant projects in Ukraine.

In the discussion, they charted their further cooperation direction. HEI promised to provide all-around technical, business and financing supports for the construction of the three projects. The visit of Ukrainian power project delegation has a positive impetus on HEI’s expansion into the power market in Ukraine and even in Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States, and is of great importance to the implementation of the “Belt and Road” Initiative.

Related personnel from the Marketing Division, the Financial Division and the 7th Thermal Power Division also participated in the discussion.
